How it works
Install voar on your organization
On GitHub, pick the organization and the repositories that can use voar. The app can't read your code: it only creates runners in the organization and follows your jobs.
See what the app asks forChange the job's runs-on
That's the only change to your workflow.

Need more CPU? Use
voar-4vcpu,voar-8vcpuorvoar-16vcpu.The job runs on a fresh machine in São Paulo
The machine starts for that job, runs it and is deleted at the end. The dashboard shows every job, how long it took and what it cost.
$0.002 a minute
That's the 2 vCPU machine. Bigger machines count more minutes per minute: the 16 vCPU one counts 8.
Every organization gets 3,000 free minutes a month. After that, add credit whenever you like, from $10. There's no plan or subscription.

Questions
Is my code safe?
The voar app has no permission to read your repositories. Your code reaches the machine through the job itself, in the checkout step, as with any runner. Each job runs on a machine of its own that is deleted when the job ends, so nothing carries over from one job to the next.
Which repositories can use voar?
The ones you pick when you install the app on your organization: all of them or just some. Public repositories are left out by default, because GitHub's default runner group only serves private ones. An organization admin can allow them in the group's settings. Only organizations for now: personal accounts aren't supported yet.
What happens when my balance runs out?
Once your balance and the month's free minutes are gone, jobs wait in GitHub's queue. Add credit and they start. GitHub cancels a job that waits more than 24 hours. Before it comes to that, the organization's owners get an email when the balance runs low.
How is billing rounded?
Each job is billed on its own, rounded up to the whole minute, the same way GitHub does it. A job that takes 3 min 10 s counts as 4 minutes. On the 4 vCPU machine each minute counts twice, so the same job counts as 8 minutes ($0.016).
Can I go back to GitHub's runners?
Yes. Change the line back to ubuntu-latest. To switch every workflow at once, read runs-on from an organization variable:
runs-on: ${{ vars.CI_RUNNER || 'ubuntu-24.04' }}With CI_RUNNER set to voar-2vcpu-ubuntu-2404, jobs go to voar. Delete the variable and they go back to GitHub.
Which currency do I pay in?
Reais, dollars or euros. Your organization's first payment fixes the currency. In reais you're charged by a Brazilian company, OpenWings Automação Comercial Ltda..
How long can a job run?
Up to 6 hours, as on GitHub. At that mark the machine shuts down, whether the job has finished or not.
How many jobs run at once?
Up to 2 per organization before your first credit purchase, and 10 after. Need more? Email [email protected].
